Pressure chamber
One day, when I was preparing my diving equipment, I found out that my GoProHERO3 camera case is not 100% tight. Unfortunately, even though the camera itself is super, its plastic case is more or less a garbage. After a year use, the case's lock cracked. It took a little more time and the case's hinge cracked too. So, I bought a new case from eBay (very expensive, by the way). The new one endured about a year too. After that experience I decided not to pay more big money for low quality products and to try to repair the old cases. I used a Loctite waterproof super glue. Then I needed to test the tightness. The GoPro camera is too expensive to put it in not tested cases (-: So, I needed a pressure chamber and I needed a quick solution. As a first, I tried to find something on the Internet, but with no success. And... I decided to build by myself an improvised pressure chamber able to reach about 100 kPa overpressure for a few minutes. I built two chambers using food boxes. Both exploded during the pressurizing )-: At that moment I realized that my testing could be dangerous. For the next try I used a stainless steel bowls for dogs feeding. As a gasket I used a strip from an old water ball. For a perfect tightness I used a rubber glue too. And the success came (-:
